What is the most essential part to being a son of God? The Holy Spirit will lead you in the affairs of life. The Holy Spirit will always encourage you to see yourself righteous. I believe this is one of the most overlooked areas of the Spirit’s indwelling presence.
Jesus said in John 16:8-10 concerning the Holy Spirit, “And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment; concerning sin, because they do not believe in me: concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you will see me no longer; concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.”
Pay attention to what Jesus is saying: The world is convicted of the sin of rejecting Jesus as Lord! The Holy Spirit is always involved in the salvation of each soul and always encourages the world to receive Jesus. At the same time He brings believers to a present reality of our right standing with God the Father. The Holy Spirit does not convict you of sin; rather He is always revealing to you that you are righteous in Christ Jesus. If we can get a picture of ourselves as righteous, this will enable the Holy Spirit to empower us to move beyond the flesh and experience life-worth-living! We know already that the Holy Spirit brought judgment against the evil one on our behalf, and he’s been thoroughly defeated by Jesus. He’s no longer a threat to any believer who knows their authority. WOW! What an amazing truth: LIVE in it…SEE the picture…EXPERIENCE righteousness…LIVE life through God’s eyes!
