Dare to Believe: Week Twenty-one

by Jim Hockaday

In the days of the Roman Empire, when a general won a great victory over the enemy, he would be honored with a triumph. This parade would wind its way through the city as the spectators cheered for the hero. It was an honor few men ever received, but many dreamed of winning.

You are already a victor through Jesus Christ. You have already overcome every obstacle through the power and ability of the Lord. Do not settle for anything less. Do not allow the world to pull you down into mediocre living.

God says you “always… triumph.”
(2 Corinthians 2:14)

“Father, Your Son has completely triumphed over the world, the flesh and the devil. I declare today through faith that I am also a victor through Your grace. I confidently face my enemies, knowing that You have already won all the battles I will face today.”
