Dare to Believe: Week Seventeen

by Jim Hockaday

A steward is someone who manages the property of another. Perhaps when you were little your mother told you something like, “Be more careful of other people’s things than you are of your own.” As we have already discussed, it is God’s faith—not ours—that directs our life. So how can we be good stewards of our faith? We must use our faith to win battles. We must rely on God rather than on our natural understanding to deal with the challenges and problems we face. And we must strengthen our faith by spending much time in the Scriptures.

“Father, I pray that You will be pleased as I use my faith today to overcome the world. I trust in You completely for all of my needs. I ask that You will help me to be a good steward of faith through meditation and dwelling in Your Word as it fills my heart and mind.”
