The whole idea of cause and effect or Newton’s law – every action requires a re-action is very pertinent concerning the Grace of God. The Apostle Paul makes it plan that there will be days of great sinfulness or lawlessness before the coming of the Lord. Jesus also stated that before the coming of the Lord we would see days likened to the days of Noah before the flood. These were extremely sinful days where man had lost all sense of conscious. Right was wrong and wrong became right. Well, we have visited these days once again and this time the potential for mass marketing of sinfulness is beyond anything that Noah’s generation could ever imagine.
Paul wrote in Romans 5:20-21 Amp…But then Law came in, [only] to expand and increase the trespass [making it more apparent and exciting opposition]. But where sin increased and abounded, grace (God’s unmerited favor) has surpassed it and increased the more and super abounded, so that [just] as sin has reigned in death, [so] grace (His unearned and undeserved favor) might reign also through righteousness (right standing with God) which issues in eternal life through Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the anointed One) our Lord.
Can you see how cause and effect are working. Wherever sin tries to increase, there is endless grace. So I submit to you that it should be to no ones surprise that in the day we live, that the message of God’s love and grace has come to the forefront. The cure for sin is not more effort even though effort of any kind usually translates into concern and willingness. We are always grateful when someone recognizes something wrong and by acknowledging it is willing to change. However, if we want lasting change we must find that change in God.
Therefore, using this premise – Grace could be understood as the abundance of air on the earth. The more you exert yourself the greater intake you must have to survive. If you walk vs. sit you will increase your capacity for air. If you run vs. walk you will increase your capacity or demand for air. So the air theory is simply, no matter what demand you have, there is always an abundance of grace available. Even as we breathe air easily, so we experience His grace with ease. Remember, every spiritual reality is accessible with ease as you acknowledge it. Think about the provision of God’s grace, there is a super abundance for your entire life. Start paying attention to the way you breathe air so easily and you will be encouraged to consider the grace and divine ability of God easy too.
